Olympus E-PL5, the “Wonder Cam” (Featuring Edward Tian & Julian Tan)

The Olympus Pen E-PL5. Photo by Julian Tan.

Whilst the world are raving (& comparing) about the specifications of Olympus’s latest Pen, the M4/3 E-PL5,
I wanted to see real photos from real photographers and not looking at specifications or “File” photos.
I managed to laid my hands on the E-PL5 – courtesy of Olympus Imaging Singapore, but due to the recent busier
schedule with the season peaking with more assignments, I decided to approach two friends to help me out.

They are none other than Edward Tian (better known as Edward Adios) & Julian Tan who are both well articulated in various genres of photography. (Do a search on them on google and you will know what this pair of friends are capable of.) So I met up with both of them, passed them the E-PL5, and told them “use this to do what you usually do. send me some photos taken from this cam in 2 weeks.”  I waited in anticipation, and 2 weeks later, ………………….
(See Commentaries after the Photo Spread).

I am sure all of you will agree with me that the above works submitted by Edward Tian & Julian Tan are Excellent Pieces.

Looking at their photos, I am sure they put the E-PL5 through its pace and they certainly enjoyed the E-PL5.
However, nothing is perfect, here’s the Pros & Cons – as reported by the 2 photographers.
