The Nikon D7200: When only the reliable will do
An explorer’s ultimate companion, the always-ready D7200 is perfect for advanced enthusiasts who crave stand-out performance at every step of the journey.
The D7200 shines with 24.2-megapixels DX-format CMOS sensor, built without an optical low-pass filter, providing an immersive experience with a camera that is a pleasure to shoot with. An ISO range of 100 to 25600 with the EXPEED 4 image-processing engine aids in improved noise reduction performance, while maintaining quality image definition at high ISO. The latest Nikon DSLR also delivers low-light prowess from a powerful 51-point autofocus (AF) system thanks to the new Advanced Multi-CAM 3500 II autofocus sensor module also seen in the Nikon D750. Superior low-light performance is further enhanced with an expanded AF detection range down to -3EV.
For the precise moments in dynamic situations with great expressions and fast movements, photographers can now capture 100 JPEG frames during continuous shooting with the extended buffer capacity. The D7200 is also the socially-connected adventurer’s camera, with built-in Wi-Fi®*1 and Near Field Communication (NFC) support*2, the first of such combination for a Nikon DSLR. Photographers now have the ability to share their adventures in real time with the world via their favourite social media sites.
Made for capturing the vastness and majesty of the outdoors, stunning time-lapse video is also possible with the D7200, another first for the Nikon DX-format range of cameras. Movie-making magic is now in the hands of the user, with smooth exposure variations and minimal disruption to video and image quality when encountering rapidly changing lighting conditions. The D7200 boasts other handy features to simplify the movie-making process such as dedicated movie menus for convenient settings, an additional highlight display function, and improved audio performance with wind noise reduction.
As a top-of-the-line DX-format DSLR, premium design and materials have been incorporated into the camera’s construction for a sleek, resilient finish, while a comprehensively-sealed body protects the camera from dust and water droplets.
The Nikon D5500: Define your creative identity
The Nikon D5500 is the artist’s muse, inspiring photographers to continually redefine their artistic boundaries, and breathes life into still images and HD videos.
A camera designed for photographers seeking to create images in new and exciting ways, the D5500 comes with a 24. 2-megapixel CMOS sensor built without OLPF and features a 39-point AF system accompanied by the EXPEED 4 image-processing engine. Accompanied by a 3.2-inch vari-angle touch screen LCD monitor, the D5500 is an impressive assembly of imaging technology to tell creative stories in remarkably sharp, vivid details and tonally-rich quality.
The D5500 boasts a suite of intuitive features that put creativity in the hands of aspiring photographers. The DSLR features an intelligent eye-sensor feature which automatically turns the LCD monitor screen on and off as necessary, and a ‘Touch Fn’ for quick adjustments of operational settings. With the ‘Touch Fn’, functions selected can be easily executed via touch operation with the right thumb whilst holding the grip and confirming viewfinder information. Another first for Nikon DSLR cameras, the D5500 also comes with a touch operation permission feature, incorporating a setting that allows touch-screen controls only during playback while disabling them during shooting.
The camera supports a wide ISO range of up to 25600 for low-lighting conditions, high speed continuous shooting frame rate of 5 frames per second*3 (fps) to capture sharp and precise shots of dynamic action, and records smooth Full HD 1080/60p videos with crystal clear audio.
Also at hand are 16 scene modes, specifically configured for shooting in a wide variety of situations and subjects. During shooting, a selection of 10 special effects settings is available, displaying the effects in real time for photographers to visualize their unique, personalized creations. These special moments can in-turn be shared instantly with friends and family using the camera’s built-in Wi-Fi®*1.
Being the world’s lightest*4 DSLR, the D5500, available in black (in Singapore), inspires the aesthetically-inclined with its sleek and innovative design DNA.
