Snapshots of A Little Red Dot Competition
About the Competition:
Singapore may be small, but for many, our island city is full of significance, stories and surprises. What does Singapore mean to you personally? What says “Singapore” better than anything else?
A photography competition & exhibition that celebrates all things Singaporean, the name “Snapshots of a Little Red Dot” aims to engage photographers of all levels to bring out the subject matter via digital photography & creative interpretations of the theme.
From the nice kopi tiam breakfast to a sumptuous dinner at a shopping mall or from the CBD to the suburbs, we seek to cover iconic Singaporean elements while capturing a different version of the red dot through the viewfinders of the photographers at the same time. The overall style will be minimalist yet contemporary to uphold a sense of Capitol chic, while the strong red and white of the national colours will create a sense of passion and connection with their striking intensity—an effect we hope the competing entries will also in turn create.
Most importantly the submissions must be able to connect with the viewers by sharing both a common thought and sense of familiarity through the subjects in the presented images. Share with us your snapshots of what Singapore means to you and stand to win attractive prizes. Winning and selected entries will be displayed in the upcoming Snapshots of A Little Red Dot exhibition at Capitol Theatre from 30 July to 8 August 2017.
